From alliances to blocs: the geopolitical logic of history
Since ancient times, international relations have evolved as models of interaction between the parties, involving the provision of mutual assistance in conflict situations. With the development of society, the complication of not only the socio-economic, but also the geopolitical picture of the state, their allied relations more and more often formalized due to the feeling of a threat emanating from a party with diverging geopolitical interests. Since such a bloc not only acquired a military character, but also sought to achieve the goals of its members by military means, after their achievement, the need for such an alliance disappeared. In recent history, the situation has changed. The balance of power during the period of the bipolar model of international relations was manifested in the confrontation between two military-political blocs: the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Warsaw Pact, which was a guarantee of peaceful coexistence. With the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact and the expansion of NATO members, this guarantee disappeared. Moreover, a natural question arose about the potential danger of a bloc consciousness that could trigger new military technologies.
Key words: international relations, bipolarity, conflict, war, military bloc, alliance, union, cooperation.

Atom and Emptiness: Geopolitical Reading of the Philosophical Principle of Atomism
The article presents a brief outline of the relationship between man and the atom, which led to discoveries in the literal sense of tremendous power, capable of both destroying all life as a result of the explosion of an atomic bomb and preserving life thanks to the achievements of nuclear medicine. It is clear that such a powerful energy could not but turn into the most important geopolitical argument, and the problem of nuclear deterrence could not become the main topic of the international agenda.
Key words: geopolitics, history, atom, bomb, nuclear energy, nuclear medicine.

A review of russian-chinese comparative research and tranlation analysis in China (1978-2018)
Contrast is the basis of translation and translation studies. The "commonness" discussed in the comparative study is the basis of the "translatability" discussed by the translation research. The "personality" discussed in the comparative study is the study of the translation research. Reform and opening up is the dividing line between China's Russian-Chinese contrast and translation research. After 1978, China's Russian-Chinese contrast and translation studies have developed steadily after learning from the linguistic school of Soviet translation theory. However, compared with the English academic community, there are still such deficiencies as insufficient results, more contrast results and less translation results, the concentration of results on qualitative research, lack of relevant organizations, and insufficient discipline awareness.
Key words: 40th anniversary of Reform and opening up, Russian-Chinese, comparison and translation, review.

On the history of industrial academies in the USSR
The article presents the history of industrial academies in the USSR that emerged in the mid-1920s. The purpose of their creation was to train leading personnel for the socialist economy, which were to replace specialists with pre-revolutionary work experience. Industrial academies were subordinate to individual people's commissariats, gave students both general political knowledge and, especially, special knowledge necessary for working in specific industries. Much attention was paid to mastering management knowledge by the students. The main contingent of the academies were directors of enterprises, mines, heads of trusts. Industrial academies actively mastered the advanced educational technologies of that time, for example, they actively used distance learning, since on this path they saw a solution to the problem of broad training of economic personnel.
Key words: personnel, industrial academies, All-Union Industrial Academy named after I.V. Stalin, personnel policy, personnel security.

Work to eliminate illiteracy among chinese workers in the 1920 and 1930 years in the russian Far East
The article presents the results of a study aimed at identifying the dynamics of the ideological policy and cultural and educational work developed in the Soviet Union, focused on the transformation of Chinese workers into «conductors» of socialist ideas in their homeland through a retrospective analysis. The study reveals the main mechanisms of influence on the formation of international consciousness and the involvement of Chinese citizens in the construction of socialism.
Both the dynamics of formation and the results obtained during it are presented in detail, indicating specific activities aimed at information education of national minorities. The leading directions of cultural and educational activities among Chinese workers are identified, activities aimed at eliminating illiteracy. As the results of the study, both achievements and shortcomings in practical work on cultural and mass work among the Chinese population are presented, which affected Chinese citizens who lived in the Soviet far East, and among those who came from China «to search for revolutionary truth», where the revolutionary movement was born and actively developed.

The time factor in creating a migration security environment
To date, research into migration problems has formed the subject field of a separate science - migrationology. However, within this relatively new discipline there is both an insufficiently clear definition of concepts and a very poorly developed research toolkit. This has a direct impact on the effectiveness of government and business efforts to create an environment for migration security. A way out of this situation can be a deeper study of the differences between migrants and the population of their host country, which reflects the essence of their understanding of the importance of such a vital resource as time. Taking this factor into account will make it possible not only to adapt migrants in labor collectives, but also to strengthen the environment of migration security.
Key words: migration, migration security, migration management, vital resources, time, temporal rhythm, temporal intelligence.

Time and power
The article gives a brief excursion into the history of changes in the calendar or the translation of the clock hands. These reforms are associated with the authorities' desire to strengthen their position and improve the situation in the state. However, like any reforms, the transformation of the practice of measuring time is not equally perceived by ordinary people. This is reflected in the fate of the rulers. But there are other approaches to understanding the relationship between power and time, when power should feel the era. And for this it is important to fill time with moral meanings.
Key words: time, power, calendar, time zone, time management, temporal intelligence.

Building an image of the future through the transition to integral education
The article is a response to the book of L.O. Ternovaya and T.M. Bormotova "Sociology and law through the prism of geopolitics." This work integrates the subject areas of three sciences and the corresponding academic disciplines: sociology, law and geopolitics and meets the current trend of introducing a transdisciplinary approach into the educational process in higher education, which is able to push the narrow boundaries of traditional knowledge and help students to form a creative attitude towards their future profession.
Key words: sociology, law, geopolitics, integrative activity, concept, educational technology, image of the future.
