Abstract
Ardashev R.G.
Patriotic values of student youth

Developing patriotism and civic consciousness is a priority in the country's educational institutions. Patriotic ideas are prioritized over professional skills, as the acquired knowledge and competencies can be used to advance the country's interests. An online survey of students at economics universities in Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, and Ulan-Ude was conducted. The study's results highlight the characteristics of students' patriotism, the role of teachers, their personality and charisma, as well as the methods of conveying information about the subject, pedagogical tools, and modern technologies used in the learning process. Conclusions are drawn about the mechanisms for using the virtual opportunities of modern society to develop civic consciousness and patriotism among students at economics universities. Students' opinions allow us to identify existing problem areas and promising areas for developing educational tools for fostering patriotism within the context of educational activities. This study focuses teachers' attention on modern virtual technologies that help develop the foundations of patriotism in today's youth. The study identified contemporary characteristics of patriotism development, outlined the role of the external environment, and identified ways for students to adapt to current processes. An assessment was made of the effectiveness of fostering patriotism in the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood," and recommendations were developed for using virtual opportunities to develop student patriotism.

Key words: patriotism, civic consciousness, students, economics university, "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood".

Evolution of interaction between the state and religious organizations in Russia

One of the most important components of Russian history is the state-church (later state-confessional) relations, which predetermined the main stages of development not only of Russian statehood, but also of the legal system. There is a lot of traditional and consciously reproduced content in Russia's state-religion relations, which is reflected both in the activities of government agencies and in public consciousness. The religious diversity of the Russian people is an undeniable spiritual and political asset of Russia. The centuries-old tradition of cooperation between the state and religious organizations in Russia is not only preserved but also developed. This relationship is regulated by various legal norms that establish the state regime of the Russian Federation and the legal status of religious organizations.

Key words: religious organizations, state, state-religious relations, Constitution of the Russian Federation.

Formation of professional competencies in the digital economy

The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of professional competencies of economic specialists in the digital economy. It is proved that the accelerated development of digital technologies, platform business models and big data analytics is radically changing the requirements for the content and results of professional education.

It is shown that the traditional training model, focused mainly on the assimilation of theoretical knowledge and regulated procedures, is insufficient to work in a digital environment. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents, scientific publications and empirical data obtained during a questionnaire survey of students and employers, the features of the structure of professional competencies demanded by the digital economy are revealed and the degree of their formation is assessed.

A typology of competencies is proposed, including content-based, digital-instrumental, analytical, and communicative-cooperative blocks. Discrepancies between students' self-assessment and employers' assessments of the level of proficiency in key competencies were revealed.

Recommendations for improving the educational process and updating educational programs, taking into account the requirements of the digital economy, are formulated.

Key words: professional competencies, digital economy, higher education, training of economists, digital skills, data analytics, educational outcomes.

Yiyang opera: vocal artistry, historical evolution, and contemporary inheritance

As the origin of China's high-pitched opera system and a nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage, Yiyang Opera possesses both profound historical value and enduring contemporary relevance. This study systematically examines its distinctive vocal artistry and current preservation pathways. It traces the historical formation of Yiyang Opera, showing how it absorbed elements of Southern opera and Northern music while embedding itself in local dialect and folk culture– a process that reveals "adaptability" as its core sustaining feature. Artistically, the "lead singer with chorus" (bangqiang) technique enriches dramatic atmosphere and psychological expression; the strategic use of dialect and tonal flexibility reflects its folk inclusivity; and the innovative "rolling tune" (gundiao) form breaks conventional musical constraints to intensify narrative impact. In response to current challenges such as shrinking transmission chains and declining public engagement, this paper proposes a tripartite strategy centered on living inheritance, digital preservation, and artistic innovation. It argues that the sustainable future of Yiyang Opera depends on transforming its inherent adaptability into conscious contemporary creativity– enabling this ancient art to achieve renewed vitality through innovative development.

Key words: Yiyang opera, singing style, supporting voice, rolling tone, intangible cultural heritage, opera inheritance.

Eastern origins and Islamic reception: on the genesis and development of the technique of solid coloring of writing materials

The article is devoted to a comprehensive historical, cultural and technological study of the genesis and development of the technique of solid coloring of writing materials in the Islamic world. The main focus is on the analysis of the Eastern (predominantly Chinese) origins of this practice, the mechanisms of its adaptation and transformation in Muslim culture, and its role in the art of the Islamic book.

Based on an interdisciplinary approach combining the analysis of material sources (manuscripts of the 9th – 18th centuries) and translations of Persian and Arabic textual treatises (12th – 19th centuries), the author traces the routes of technology transfer from China through Central Asia to the Middle East and further to the regions of the Maghreb and Al-Andalus. The work details the evolution of coloring techniques (immersion, ground application, mass coloring), reconstructs the palette of natural dyes (henna, saffron, turmeric, safflower, etc.) and mordants, and describes technological recipes.

The study demonstrates that solid paper coloring in the Islamic tradition was not merely a decorative device, but a complex socio-cultural phenomenon that performed three key functions: utilitarian (eye protection, forgery prevention, fungistatic properties), aesthetic (creating a background corresponding to the canons of Islamic art), and symbolic (color code in diplomatic and official correspondence, expression of social status and religious meanings). The conclusion is drawn that the reception and development of Eastern coloring technology became an important component in the formation of the unique material culture of the Islamic manuscript book, reflecting the processes of cultural dialogue and adaptation.

Key words: Islamic manuscript book, solid paper coloring, natural dyes, coloring technology, Persian treatises, codicology, cultural transfer, art of the book, functions of color.

Ethical challenges of using artificial intelligence in the activities of charitable organizations

The article analyzes the key ethical challenges that arise when introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the activities of charitable organizations. Based on a review of international and Russian practices, the following ethical risks have been identified: violation of the confidentiality of personal data of vulnerable groups, algorithmic discrimination in the distribution of aid, reduced human participation in charity, lack of transparency and accountability of AI systems. It is shown that the use of AI in the non-profit sector requires special ethical regulation, taking into account the vulnerability of beneficiaries and the value of trust as the main resource of charity. The principles of responsible AI for NGOs are proposed, corresponding to the recommendations of UNESCO, the OECD and the European Commission.

Key words: artificial intelligence, philanthropy, non-profit organizations, AI ethics, data protection, algorithmic fairness, digital transformation.

From mimicry to reclamation: Homi Bhabha and the reaffirmation of indigenous identities in cultural production of Mexico and Colombia

Introduction. The relevance of this study stems from the necessity to re-examine the dynamics of cultural identity within Latin American post-colonialism, where the dominant narrative of mestizaje (racial and cultural mixing) has masked the structural exclusion of Indigenous peoples. The colonial legacy is manifest in the imposition of Western aesthetic standards as the only legitimate forms, which reduces authentic Indigenous identities to the level of folklore. The aim of this article is to analyze how contemporary creators in Mexico and Colombia (2010–2025) utilize colonial mechanisms to subvert them, transforming passive assimilation into the active reclamation of their identity.

Theory and Methods. The theoretical framework for the research is provided by Homi K. Bhabha’s concepts of mimicry, hybridity, and the Third Space. The empirical basis is drawn from a corpus of contemporary cultural production (literature, performance, visual art) from Mexico and Colombia, created between 2010 and 2025. Strategies of subversion and reaffirmation are identified and operationalized through decolonial critical analysis, confirming that cultural production is a crucial arena of political subjectivity in post-colonial Latin America.

Research Results. It is established that hegemonic narratives gave rise to the phenomenon of "mimicry" as an initial form of imitation, which, however, is not a mere flaw but is transformed into a tactical instrument. A factor analysis of the cultural production clarifies the structure of subversion: the tactical deployment of colonial forms (mimicry) transitions into the strategic production of non-essentialist identity (hybridity and the Third Space).

Discussion and Conclusion. The strategic use of hybridity and the Third Space by Indigenous creators demonstrates that these mechanisms function not merely as aesthetics, but as acts of political subjectivity. The hypothesis is confirmed: cultural production strategically employs Bhabha’s mechanisms to dismantle colonial power and assert sovereign Indigenous identities within national and global contexts.

Key words: Homi Bhabha, mimicry, hybridity, third space, indigenous identities, postcolonialism, cultural production, Mexico, Colombia.
