Commercial and non-profit medical organizations: theoretical aspects of the implementation of activities
The article examines certain aspects of the activities of non-profit (non-governmental, public) organizations that ensure the protection of citizens' health. It is determined that the role of non-profit and non-governmental public organizations in global health is to strengthen health systems and most often includes working in partnership with ministries of health; managing joint projects and programs; etc. Despite the fact that the resources of public organizations are much more modest compared to commercial ones, they make a significant contribution to protecting public health and reducing inequalities in access to medical care.
Key words: business, organization, commercial organizations, non-profit organizations, healthcare, medical care, activity.

Stones of power and destiny in the structure of cultural codes and power relations
In the modern world, a real mental battle is unfolding between adherents of traditional values and new life patterns offered to Western society, in which the meaning of history is crossed out and previously stable identities are lost. The answer to why these innovations are freely accepted by part of the population can be found by studying the differences in the cultural codes of the East and West, even in those parts that do not directly affect either the deep personal aspects of existence or high geopolitical strategies. But such fragments are necessarily directly related to reading the meaning of man’s relationship with the elements of nature: earth, water, plants, fire. Every element of them was interpreted from the perspective of the opportunities and prohibitions that people had, regardless of their origin or social status. The stone reflected the meaning of the native land, and therefore asserted dominance over it and in some cultures acted as an indicator of the right to power. In other cultures, such power was interpreted not as a political institution, but as moral firmness and the ability to control oneself. And although much of this cultural code has been lost, surviving monuments help to reconstruct it.
Key words: history, traditional values, cultural code, power, strength, megalith, folklore.

Northern shipping company: new pages in the history of the Russian merchant fleet
The article examines the little-studied facts of the formation of the Russian merchant fleet of Russia. It is noted that one of the largest shipping companies in the Baltic in pre-revolutionary Russia was the Northern Shipping Society, which was established on the initiative and with the participation of the Danish-Russian Shipping Society. The company's fixed capital amounted to 2,000,000 rubles and was divided into 8,000 shares, 250 rubles each. The process of formation of society is shown, problematic issues and difficulties are identified. Based on the materials of the annual general meetings of shareholders, the article presents the results of the activities of the Northern Shipping Company. The disruption of the normal life of the state affected the affairs of societies, completely changing the planned course of its work. The events of the First World War led to the fact that, on the basis of the provisions on military service, most of the company's ships were transferred to the complete disposal of the government for military transportation. Based on the decree of the Council of People's Commissars "On the nationalization of the merchant fleet" dated January 26, 1918, the company was declared national property. It is argued that the Northern Shipping Company has become an important factor in the development of maritime trade and the shipbuilding industry not only in the Baltic, but throughout the country. It made its worthy contribution to the development of the merchant fleet of pre-revolutionary Russia and left a significant mark on the history of the Russian merchant fleet.
Key words: Northern Shipping Company, Danish-Russian Shipping Company, steamship service, board, shares, board of directors, military service, ship captain, ship crew.

«Admiral Ushakov», «Admiral Seniavin» and «General–admiral Apraksin» – coastal battleships of the imperial Russian navy
Historical analysis of the issues of creating coastal defense battleships requires special consideration of the strategic purpose of ships of this class. As conceived by the leadership of the Maritime Department, they were supposed to become the basis of the Russian fleet in the Baltic, having a certain advantage in single battles with the battleships of the coastal defense fleets of the Western powers.
With the support of coastal batteries and the ability to take refuge in their port, these ships of the type could successfully withstand attacks by larger battleships.
However, in the context of Russian foreign policy and the goals of creating the Pacific Fleet, the construction of coastal defense battleships did not fully meet the principles of rationality of the period of fleet creation.
Key words: coastal defense battleships, Russia, coastal defense, military shipbuilding, Russian Imperial Navy.

The theory of official nationality as a methodology of history in the Russian conservative historiography of the 2nd quarter of the XIX century
The article is devoted to the study of methodological principles of historiography in the Russian conservative historiography of the 2nd quarter of the XIX century. The author's attention is focused on the historical works of historians who were supporters and adherents of the "theory of official nationality". Which is considered as an effective methodological basis at a certain stage of the development of Russian historical science. Specific historical works by M.P. Pogodin, N.G. Ustryalov, A.I. Mikhailovsky-Danilevsky and M.A. Korfa are considered as historiographical sources representing a single intellectual capital of the Mykolaiv epoch. As a working hypothesis, the authors of the article put forward the thesis about the preservation of the works of these authors not only museum-memorial, but also quite relevant scientific value for the national historical science up to the present moment. The methodology of history, based on the "theory of official nationality", appears as a natural product of its historical epoch and the immediately preceding macro-historical events, from the Great French Revolution to the Decembrist Uprising inclusive. Accordingly, the stereotypical idea of the purely situational-political conditionality of the "theory of official nationality" and the purely careerist aspirations of its ideologists is rejected. The complex of historical and methodological ideas in the works of four historians, which are united within a single epistemological model, giving scope for scientific creativity and, at the same time, preserving the axiological intentions of humanitarian knowledge, is revealed. The combination of pragmatic rationalism and Christian metaphysics, descriptions of long-lasting times with local-event reconstructions are characteristic features of the Russian methodology of history in the 2nd quarter of the XIX century and carry a significant potential for the knowledge of history. Accordingly, the scientific value of the conservative methodology of history and historiography is much higher than it was thought until recently.
Key words: theory of official nationality, methodology of history, historiography, history of Russia, intellectual capital, conservatism, the Nicholas era.

Virtuality and reality: an individual in a hybrid space
Introduction. The transformation of the process of socialization of an individual under the influence of his stay in the virtual and real worlds has made the most important quality of an individual his ability to rationally use the possibilities of technology for self-development in real life. The problem of existence in a hybrid space, using the advantages of one world in the interests of another, is becoming the most urgent. Theoretical analysis. Due to the growing influence of reality images on an individual's lifestyle, the problem of virtuality as an integral part of an individual's social existence is at the center of scientific research discourse. The subject of interdisciplinary research is the essence, properties, reasons for the demand for the virtual world, the nature of its influence, and the negative consequences of an exaggerated role in an individual's life. Conclusion. The special characteristics of virtual existence: anonymity, freedom, abstraction from real factors, lack of internal and external control, barriers, "neutrality" to reliability, legal, moral and cultural norms - form an individual's many pronounced dependencies and special, anthropic characteristics that can change the properties of a real person. The abuse of even the advantages of the virtual world gives the latter the character of threats and risks. Improving communications in the virtual world inevitably requires the use of socio-cultural mechanisms that are effectively used in reality.
Key words: virtuality, hybrid space, illusory, digital addiction, escapism, digital submission, Internet phenomena.

The development of marine crafts of the Murmansk coast in the XI-XVIII centuries
In this scientific article, the author analyzes in detail the development of marine fisheries on the Murmansk coast in the period from the XI to the XVIII centuries. The influence of geographical, economic and political factors on the development of fishing, the extraction of marine animals and other types of marine resources during this period is being investigated. The author describes in detail the various stages, from the formation of the first settlements to the emergence of monopolies and the transfer of crafts to private or public hands. Special attention is paid to the time of Peter the Great, when monopoly companies were created, striving for the development of crafts, but actually engaged in exploitation and control. The author analyzes the negative impact of monopolies on the development of fisheries, pointing to the significant tax burden that slowed down the process. The article also provides a comparison of the development of marine fisheries on the Murmansk coast and the neighboring Norwegian coast in the Finmarken area, where the abolition of monopolies contributed to the flourishing of fisheries and increased trade operations. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the constant transfers of fisheries from monopoly companies to the state and back had a negative impact on the development of fisheries on the Murmansk coast, preventing them from making significant technical and economic progress. A comparison with the development of marine fisheries on the Norwegian coast in Finmarken shows that the liberation from monopolies and the innovative support of the government led to the prosperity of the fishery and the enrichment of the region. The general conclusion is that monopolies and insufficient state support for fisheries on the Murmansk coast have led to their decline and lagging behind their neighbors.
Key words: Murmansk coast, marine fisheries, fishing, extraction of sea animals, XI-XVIII centuries, pokrut, fishing industry, Kola Peninsula, Murmansk, Norway.

Anti-Finnish sentiments in public opinion and politics of the 1880s–1890s
The article focuses on the issues of anti-Finnish sentiments in Russian public opinion and the political practice of the last two decades of the XIX century. Anti-Finnish sentiments in the Russian public consciousness were determined by a number of socio-political upheavals in the life of the post-reform Russian Empire. In the 1880s and 1890s, the Russian government's policy on the national issue went through a significant transformation. The existence of the "Finnish question" and, consequently, the "anti-Finnish sentiments" manifested itself in several forms: 1) the practical steps of the autocracy to incorporate the national outskirts ("Russification policies"); 2) discussions on the legal status of the Grand Duchy of Finland as part of the Russian Empire; 3) the formation of negative public opinion on the issue of Finnish autonomy. The main wave of Russification policies will be associated with the reign of Nicholas II.
Key words: Finnish question, policy of Russification of Finland, Russian-Finnish relations, national question, anti-Finnish sentiments, public opinion.

American propaganda during the Cold War and the Hungarian refugee crisis in 1956
This work reflects research on the content of American propaganda in the middle of the last century. The author explores the consequences of the 1956 Hungarian uprising, during which 200,000 Hungarians became refugees, which led to the most serious refugee crisis since the Cold War. The emergence of the problem of Hungarian refugees has many internal and external causes and is the result of a combination of internal and external factors. This conflict situation is directly related to the social upheavals that were caused by the entry of Soviet troops into the territory of Hungary to suppress the uprising and the fierce resistance of the Hungarian people. This is also due to the US propaganda in Hungary at the beginning of the Cold War. The unstable social situation during the Hungarian events and the propaganda of the West caused some Hungarian citizens to be very worried about the future, and some participants were afraid of Soviet retaliation, and flight seemed to them the only way out.
Therefore, in the context of this study, the main goal is to study American propaganda during the Cold War in 1956. The object of the study is the events of the Cold War and the crisis with Hungarian refugees during this period. The subject is American propaganda at the specified time.
Key words: Cold War propaganda, USA, Hungarian refugees of 1956, American propaganda, national security, political course of development, cold War, communist regime, Soviet Union.

Text as a product of the writing process
This article examines the attitude to the text as a form of presentation of the writing process. The written speech has attracted the interest among the scientific community for a long time. Various ways of studying the written speech present it not only as a way of long-term memory storage, but also as a mental function of a person, which is inextricably linked with oral speech, and it is possible only if the level of oral communication is highly developed. The objects of a research in the written communication are not only the texts, but also the attitude to the text through the thoughts of the author, as well as materials, resources and techniques which are used in writing. Also, the written language is a key figure in various sciences and is still the subject of debates in some disciplines. In addition, the written communication occupies a central place in every person’s life and social identification, which becomes the subject of assessment related to the control of the written speech. Applying zoomorphic metaphors in Spanish and Russian business discourse
Metaphors are regularly used in daily communication as well as in various fictional and even academic texts. Metaphors are expressions where the meaning of a word or a notion is transferred to another word or notion by means of imagery; metaphors can be used to embellish the text or the image, to enlarge its meaning or to facilitate in comprehending complex ideas. In both Spanish and Russian animal images are often employed in the economic discourse. The use of metaphors allows to create more vivid and catchy phrases that are easier to understand and to remember for the audience. The language of economists and managers draws its inspiration from different aspects of animal life, i.e. behavior, abilities and group interaction, which leads to such expressions being used to describe different aspects of business, including company and market behaviors, strategies and characteristics. This method allows the students of economics to make their speech more expressive and to better memorize new terms as the animalistic associations tend to be vivid and interesting.
Key words: metaphor, zoomorphic metaphor, analogy, comparison, image, description, term, phraseology.

Features of the Russian variety of the English language in the use of adjectives and verbs
The purpose of the study is to provide grounds for distinguishing between a variety of a foreign language used to communicate with native speakers and broadcast common cultural values and a language intended for communication with speakers of a different culture. The article raises the issue of interference between native and foreign languages, which gives rise to a special veriety of a foreign language. Particular attention is paid to the differences between the English and Russian languages in the field of peripheral adjectives and verbs, which constitute the distinctive features of the Russian version of the English language. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the article for the first time, on the basis of categorical and cognitive approaches, highlights the specifics of the Russian variety of the English language in the field of adjectives and verbs. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the native language largely determines the way of expressing concepts in a foreign language, which is due, according to the authors of the article, to various linguistic trends in the field of verbs and adjectives, namely, the preference of English for the nominal method of expression, and Russian for verbal. This conclusion allows us to say that students of English, due to their own linguistic picture of the world, modify the language, which lets us distinguish several varieties of the English language.
Key words: Russian variety of English, central and peripheral language units, linguistic picture of the world.
