The editorial article analyzes theoretical approaches to the study of modernization through the prism of social history. The authors draw attention to the discrepancy of the conclusions obtained by the macro-sociological and micro-sociological approaches.

Society and modernization: an institutional approach (on the example of the Free Economic Society)
The Free Economic Society, established in 1765, was the first organization in Russia that can be attributed to the institutions of civil society. The need to create such a structure was well understood by the authorities, prominent scientists and public figures. Despite the relatively short period of the ban of this organization in the Soviet years, its ideas have been preserved. They are successfully implemented in various projects of the Company, in particular its regional offices.

The influence of evolution in the technosphere on the communicative culture of students
The article reveals a close relationship between the needs of society, manifested, in particular, in the development of the technosphere, and the formation of a new education model, in which students have the opportunity not only to incorporate into large-scale scientific and technological projects, but self-development, part of which is new communication skills. They reflect a fundamentally different level of awareness by young people of their responsibility both for the technological development of the country and its social and political state.

Regionalization in the confessional perspective
The article reveals the links between regionalization and the confessional face of the territories where regionalization processes can unfold or be inhibited. The coincidence of the functions of religion and regionalization is shown. Opportunities are noted through the analysis of the state of interfaith harmony or conflict to receive conclusions about the readiness of the population and elites of certain territories to create regional structures.

Corporate anthropology: foreign experience in adaptation for the Russian reader
A new economy arises with the new management. And just as in the economy, innovation processes are becoming more and more apparent, so in management, our own innovations are revealed, which correspond to the activities of the “organizations of the future”. Directly directive models are replaced by coaching and self-government. And to help in their promotion provide specialists with new competencies, in particular, corporate anthropologists. The article provides a detailed analysis of foreign publications translated into Russian, which reflect the issues of corporate anthropology.

Appointment of a person - in a reasonable activity (about the book "We teach personal effectiveness: a manual for teachers and trainers")
Each new time makes special, different from other historical periods, requirements for a person. They concern not only mastering the necessary labor skills and rules of the hostel, but also attitudes towards oneself. The slogan of modernity may sound like this: "An effective era needs effective people." However, the culture of increasing personal efficiency still lags noticeably behind the innovative development of the material base. I.S. tells about how a person can comply with such a database or even be ahead of it. Voznesensky in the book "We teach personal effectiveness: a manual for teachers and trainers."
