The urban water supply as an area for social improvement in a provincial town during the period of new economic policy (the case of Kaluga)

Its immediate research subject is the history of the emergence and development of the water supply system in Kaluga. Based on the analysis of statistical data, the author concludes that the situation with urban water supply, both in the USSR as a whole and in Kaluga in particular, began to change for the better in the period under study. By 1927 the proportion of the population with running water in the country had risen to 19.4 %. In Kaluga, on October 1, 1927, 13% of all households were connected to the water supply. China as a third party in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict
The relevance of the research topic is due to the significance of the current military conflict. It has been several months since Russia launched a “special military operation” in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. China's position in this conflict has repeatedly been the focus of attention in the American and Western media. China has maintained a neutral stance since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and many American politicians have criticized China, believing that it is on the side of Russia. The PRC stands for respect for the sovereignty of all countries, and supports any efforts that contribute to the peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. The United States is dissatisfied with the neutral position of China, and continues to demand that Beijing accept one of the parties. What is the position of China and the United States regarding the Ukrainian conflict? How can China, as a third party, not “suffer” in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict? What is the position of Chinese society? These issues will be discussed in detail in this article.
Keywords: China, Russia, Ukraine, special military operation, Russian troops.

Economic, political and cross-cultural significance of hotels
The article analyzes the historical experience of the development of the hotel business, which with each new historical stage expanded the space of people's contacts, allowing the organization of trade, financial and cultural ties to an increasing number of people with different needs and opportunities. Gradually, the hotel industry formed its own world with established rules and standards, and at the same time preserved unique samples that act as a kind of time machines. However, getting a person into such a stop can create the illusion not only of a different world, but also of his other abilities, which is especially dangerous when it comes to people with real power and subjects that require high responsibility, such as world politics and international relations.
Keywords: hotel business, hospitality institute, history of hotels, cross-cultural communication, international relations.

Today, the implementation of measures aimed at digitalization of the education sector is accompanied by certain problems that require the state and the scientific community to find optimal solutions for the transition to a personalized educational process focused on results. In this regard, promising directions are being developed that contribute to the digital transformation of education at the regional level, determining the relevance of the research topic. The purpose of this work is to consider the regional aspects of digitalization of the educational process in the context of digital transformation of society.
Keywords: digitalization of education, regional development, digital programs, artificial intelligence, personalized educational process.
