Russian-Chinese industrial cooperation: analysis of ongoing joint projects
In this article, the author examines the key areas of Russian Chinese industrial cooperation based on the analysis of four representative cases: the Power of Siberia–2 main gas pipeline project, the Blagoveshchensk–Heihe cross-border agglomeration, joint initiatives in metallurgy and the chemical industry, as well as the CR929 (C929) wide-body airliner program. The purpose of the study is to identify the institutional and economic features of the implementation of joint industrial initiatives, to identify the factors of their effectiveness and barriers to sustainability. The work uses the methods of case analysis, institutional and systemic approaches, comparative analysis of regulations, contractual mechanisms and technical parameters. The information base of the study was made up of official documents from Russian and Chinese ministries, reports from participating companies, materials from intergovernmental commissions, and industry statistics from 2018-2025. The author demonstrates that despite the growing number of projects, cooperation is characterized by a high level of institutional fragmentation, limited technological transfer and the lack of sustainable regulatory mechanisms. The main blocks of risks have been identified, namely: institutional, legal, technological, financial, economic, and socio environmental. Special attention is paid to the typology of barriers and the construction of a consolidated model of constraints that hinder the transition to sustainable industrial integration. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the systematic interpretation of large-scale Russian Chinese projects as elements of a cross-border industrial ecosystem. The practical significance of the results is shown in the possibility of applying the conclusions in shaping state policy in the field of investment and technological cooperation with China, as well as in designing mechanisms for cross-border support of joint initiatives.
Key words: Russia–China cooperation, industrial partnership, cross-border projects, institutional risks, investment cooperation, Power of Siberia–2, CR929 aircraft, Blagoveshchensk–Heihe.

The Great Depression as a geoeconomic shock: reconsidering the British National Project
The article is devoted to analyzing the impact of the Great Depression of the 1930s on the transformation of Britain's national development strategy. By examining the global economic crisis not only as a financial collapse but also as a major geo-economic shock, the author investigates how it served as a catalyst for revising the foundations of British economic and imperial projects. The study demonstrates that the Great Depression marked a definitive departure from free trade principles towards protectionist policies and strengthened economic ties within the framework of the Sterling Area. This led to a fundamental realignment of the country away from global markets toward consolidating its own imperial sphere of influence, laying the groundwork for post-war economic models in Britain and determining its special relations with dominions and colonies until the dissolution of the British Empire.
Key words: Great Depression, United Kingdom, geoeconomics, Sterling Area, Ottawa Agreements, protectionism, imperial preferences, national project, economic strategy.

Restructuring the economy of the Abkhaz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in the interests of the front during the Great Patriotic War
The Great Patriotic War, which engulfed the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1945, became one of the most significant and tragic periods in the history of the country. At this time, not only large-scale military operations took place, but also profound changes in the economic, social and cultural life of various regions. One of these regions, which deserves special attention, is the Abkhaz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (ASSR). Despite its small territory and population, Abkhazia played an important role in the economy and military operations.
At the same time, there is a lack of scientific work devoted to the economic situation and the contribution of the population of the Abkhaz ASSR to the victory over fascism during the Great Patriotic War. While many researchers focus on large industrial centers and frontline zones, the impact of the war on the economy and society of Abkhazia remains insufficiently covered.
This article examines several key aspects related to the economy of the Abkhaz ASSR during the Great Patriotic War.
Attention is paid to the industry and resources of the region. It is considered which enterprises operated during the war, how they changed their production activities and what resources were used to support the front.
The agricultural sector, which traditionally played an important role in the economy of Abkhazia, also occupies an important place in this article. It is important to note that despite the difficulties, the agricultural sector continued to function, and its contribution to the economy of the region was significant.
It is also worth paying special attention to how local residents, including women and youth, contributed to the victory over fascism by working in factories and on collective farms; their participation in collecting funds for the defense fund, the State War Loan and how it affected the economic activity of the region.
Key words: Great Patriotic War, Abkhaz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Red Army, economy, industry, agricultural sector, infrastructure, agriculture, local population.

Transforming the resource trap: why wealth doesn't always bring prosperity
It is difficult not to agree that in modern economics the most common view is that there is a negative relationship between the wealth of natural resources and the economic well-being of the country. This statement is quite logical if you look at the examples of different regions of the world. Thus, the countries of the Middle East with rich oil and gas resources are a vivid illustration of the "Dutch disease syndrome".
Excessive dependence of income on exports resource exports restricts the development of technical, knowledge-intensive and innovative industries, which ultimately does not create new jobs and, as a result, does not improve the quality of society's standard of living. In addition, falling prices on world markets negatively affect the financing of important socio-economic programs. The resource curse also affects the political sphere of the state. The abundance of natural wealth can cause corruption and internal instability, being the object of a power struggle with respect to dominance, control and distribution in the hands of individuals. That is why obtaining benefits from the extraction and export of resources is becoming a priority for the elite, which directly harms the development of democracy and justice, increasing social inequality.
The purpose of this article is to provide a historical analysis of the significance and role of natural resources, as well as their impact on the socioeconomic development of our country.
The object of this study is a paradox discovered by scientists at the turn of the last century: the economies of resource-rich countries grow more slowly than their neighbors. Using traditional research methods, such as system analysis, deduction, induction, analogy, situational analysis, and dialectics, the article analyzes the relationship between the abundance of natural resources in a country and its "resource curse" and its potential impact on economic growth.
Key words: resource curse, Soviet Union, capitalist economic system, export, diversification of industries, oil and gas industry, Russia, Dutch disease.

Innovations in the forest sector for sustainable management and new opportunities
The purpose of this article is to study innovations in the forest sector that promote sustainable forest management and open up new opportunities to address global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss and the need for efficient use of natural resources.
The relevance of the work is due to the increased need to transform the forest sector to move towards sustainable development, which requires the introduction of innovative approaches to the management and use of forest resources. Achieving international goals in the field of nature conservation and sustainable use of bioresources requires identifying and analyzing various types of innovations that can increase the potential of forests to address environmental challenges.
The research methods include a comprehensive analysis of innovations based on a thorough review of scientific literature, classification, matrix analysis and construction of a network of relationships for innovations in the forest industry. An analysis of the contribution of each category of innovation to solving global environmental problems was also conducted.
The main results of the study show that innovations in the forest sector have significant potential to increase the sustainability and adaptability of forest ecosystems. Technological innovations contribute to improved monitoring and management of forests, social and institutional approaches strengthen interactions between stakeholders and the involvement of local communities, and financial instruments ensure the attraction of necessary resources. The developed typology and systematization of innovations allow a deeper understanding of their role in the formation of sustainable biomarkets and effective management of natural resources.
Key words: sustainable forest management, innovation, climate change, forest sector, technology, FAO, matrix analysis, network analysis.
