To a question on the social nature of ethnophobias

Object of the analysis of the present article is the phenomenon of ethnophobias, a subject – essence of ethnophobias as difficult and inconsistent phenomenon on the social consequences. The author researches the social and economic and cultural factors influencing origin and distribution of ethnophobias. The nature, the maintenance and an orientation of ethnic autostereotypes and heterostereotypes, their role in forming of ethnophobias are considered. The author analyzes dependence of ethnophobias on specificity and possibilities of the social and ethnic environment, practice and character of real interethnic interactions, qualities of social and psychological installations. As research methodology dialectic principles of objectivity, the system which have provided comrehensiveness considerations of a problem of research have acted. Scientific novelty consists in the thesis justification about an urgency and a demand of a problem of ethnophobias. The researched subjects allow to formulate a number of conclusions: 1) the problematics of ethnophobias acquires a special sharpness in connection with activization of the ethnic factor; 2) complexity and discrepancy of the maintenance of ethnophobias demands the complex scientific approach with use of modern is social-psychological toolkit.

Sanctions-normative spiral of society in the context of the theory of the «Society of Expectations»

The article summarizes the author's approaches to the study of society as a system with a bias on the analysis of expectations in the context of the theory of the «Society of Expectations», given their brief characteristics. A brief assessment is made of the relevance of “social expectations” and “expectations” in the sanctions-normative spiral of society. A new concept of the “Society of expectations” was proposed for understanding the mutual system of society and the individual, the basis of which is the formation of “mutual expectations”. The causes of social imitation and recidivism are considered.

The relevance and differences of religious values for elder and younger in globalizing world

Formation of religiosity in three generations X, Y and Z took place in conditions of Soviet Union, dissolution of USSR and establishing of new market state. Stability of USSR’s economy promote earlier self-determination of growing generation, bringing up in conditions parent’s active labor and strong socialist ideology. On generation Y life make influence period of crisis of socialist system, U-turn of parents’s life priorities, force out of themselves in new economic conditions and focused on earnings, not on children’s education. Adaptive generation Z is growing up in conditions of total control and careful planning child’s fate.

Nevertheless there are many common features in formation of religious values in X-Y-Z generations in different countries. Not without interest are the facts of family’s influence and traditions of national religion for that phenomenon in globalizing world.

The policy of resettlement of the peasantry from the regions of the European part of the USSR to Siberia in the 20s. XX century

The article analyzes the state policy of resettlement of the peasantry from the overpopulated regions of the European part of the USSR to Siberia in the 1920s. Twentieth century. The prerequisites of the resettlement policy are shown related to the “agrarian overpopulation” of the European part of the USSR. The problematic issues of the implementation of the resettlement policy, administrative and legal regulation of resettlement processes. It was concluded that the resettlement policy of the Soviet government led to a decrease in the food and land burden in the European part of the USSR, the redistribution of productive forces within the state. Also, this policy provided an opportunity for willing peasants to get a fairly large area on underdeveloped lands. At the same time, due to the general lack of organization and insufficient funding, the effectiveness of the measures taken was rather low.

Potential of a city in political research: selected numeral indicators

A set of indicators was investigated and methods for assessing the scientific potential of the city in political science, focused on the work of scientists concentrated primarily in the administrative borders of the city, were discussed. The basis is taken from the numerical characteristics of openly accessible scientific papers in the field of political science and interdisciplinary subjects. Quantitative assessment of the scientific potential can be used for planning research activities in the region.

Methods of economic regulation of ecological safety in modern conditions

In recent years, the problems of environmental safety are gaining new momentum and moving into a number of national security issues. The current production process requires additional care for the environment. Global environmental problems associated with climate change, loss of biodiversity and other processes adverse to the world, increasing environmental damage from natural disasters and man-made disasters, air pollution, surface and groundwater, as well as the marine environment, affect the interests of Russia and its citizens. Preserving the environment in good condition is an important socio-economic task, since the quality of life of people depends on the state and quality of natural resources.

Specific features of modern conflicts on the African continent

The article covers features of modern African conflicts in terms of the states where UN peacekeeping operations are deployed. The methodological basis of the study is based on a systematic approach: the general logical method (analysis, comparison, generalization) and case study. The author analyzes approaches of domestic and foreign researchers to the typology of conflicts in Africa. The novelty of the work is in the author’s attempt to present her own classification of contemporary African conflicts and possible ways of resolving them. According to the researcher, there is no single “recipe” for settling crises on the African continent - a targeted approach is necessary, taking into account the specificity of conflicts in the macroregion.

Spatial face of the region

The review reveals the relevance of regional research, shows a complex way for people to realize the importance of identifying a region not as a mythical space, but as a real territory with a complex set of characteristics that are used both in everyday life and in creating various geopolitical schemes. Despite the fact that the space of the region has clear geographic contours, it is in such schemes that it is distorted, which creates obstacles for effective regional integration.

Marxism as a form of theoretical reflection on modernization

Carrying out the policy of modernization in practice consists in the selection of optimal procedures, focused on quantitative and qualitative changes in the structure of society. However, there are various approaches, theoretical views on the problems of modernization changes. In this article the task is to consider the teachings of Marxism from the standpoint of the formulation of the theory of modernization. For Marx and his followers it was important to understand how it was possible to make the transition to a new form of production relations. Hence the problem of determining the theoretical understanding of modernization in the context of the theory of C. Mars.
